Although when compared to other golf courses in the area this is not as challenging, it still remains very popular with locals and hosts many tournaments. It is also an area that has some very pretty residential developments and houses and although not in Sotogrande itself, it is still a sought after area for property buyers.
We always have properties for sale in Sotogrande as well as in La Cañada Golf so if you are looking for a property in a Spanish environment with easy access to Sotogrande, Estepona and other parts of the coast, get in touch and we can talk you through what is currently available in or around La Cañada Golf.
Guadiaro, near Sotogrande
La Cañada is the first public course on the Costa del Sol. It was founded in Guadiaro in 1982 as a non-profit sports association with the main objective being to promote golf and the area now has the highest proportion of golfers in Spain.
The golf course is 5841 meters long with 9 holes designed by David Thomas and the other 9 by Robert Trent Jones Senior. The course offers immaculate greens, substantial woodland and a ravine (Cañada) on the 18th, from which the course takes its name.
