It is well known that the Costa del Sol has a year round temperate climate mild with an average temperature of 18º C.
We don’t like to gloat (well, maybe just a little) but the weather in Spain during December 2014 and the start of January 2015 has been glorious.
Family members visiting from the UK were able to sunbathe in the garden or on the beach and the very brave even ventured into the sea for a paddle in what seemed to be unseasonably warm temperatures.
Evenings were a bit chillier and required a jacket when out and about but, despite that, we can’t complain!
The proximity of the Costa del Sol to the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada makes it the ideal base for those of us who enjoy winter sports.
Just a 2 hour drive and you can be skiing at one of Spain’s top ski resorts.
Two very pleasant extremes, sunbathing on the beach and skiing!
Where else could you do that?
