About Nueva Andalucia

To the west of Marbella, overlooked by the imposing peak of La Concha and ideally situated within walking distance from Puerto Banús, , Nueva Andalucia stretches inland from the north side of the N-340 coastal road up to the AP-7 toll road, taking in parts of the municipalities of Marbella and Benahavís. This area has grown into a well-established attractive residential area where many of the villas and apartments are based on traditional Andalusian architecture and is one that has become popular with foreign residents, especially British and Scandinavian.

Set far enough back from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Banus but close enough to walk into the port as and when necessary, Nueva Andalucia has the charm of a small tranquil village.  The area boasts a diverse mix of properties that range from luxury detached villas to penthouses and apartments, some with front-line golf views.

Known as ‘golf valley’, some of the most prestigious golf clubs are located within the area where you will also find a number of amazing properties along the front-line. These include La Quinta, Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, Aloha Golf and La Dama de Noche, the only course floodlit for night-time play. Sports enthusiasts are well catered for with plenty of tennis and paddle courts to choose from. For a different kind of leisure pursuit the Marbella Casino, situated next to the H10 Andalucia Plaza Hotel, offers an all-round gambling experience for high rollers.

Take the road rising from the port towards the bull ring that climbs towards the mountains. The area around the bull ring is where the popular Saturday market is held from 9 am to 3 pm every weekend. Better known as the ‘Puerto Banus market’, it features a wide selection of tourist goods, local artisan products, antiques, clothing and shoes as well as fruit and veg. From the bull ring the road carries on up toward The Centro Plaza shopping plaza and business complex with three floors of shops, including a Supersol supermarket, bar restaurants, a gym and dance studio.

Nueva Andalucia has several schools within its environs, the nearest being the international school, Aloha College, for children from the ages of 3 – 18 years old.
