Nueva Andalucía, Marbella’s leafy haven

There are many faces to modern Marbella. The town’s seaside paseo marítimo coastal pathway accompanies several different neighbourhoods of diverse character along its length, as well as the charming flower-bedecked Old Town that lies on the other side of the coastal road bisecting the centre. Puerto Banús, connected by the famed Golden Mile, welcomes a host of luxury yachts berthed in this exclusive marina populated by a plethora of chic designer boutiques, gourmet restaurants and trendy bars.

The properties available are as diverse in character, however there is one suburb of Marbella that locals hold dear to their hearts, remaining a perennially popular choice for people seeking either a permanent residence or a holiday home in this privileged corner of the Costa del Sol.

Biggest and best—the Golf Valley – Buy property in Nueva Andalucia
The largest of the Marbella suburbs, Nueva Andalucía is affectionately nicknamed the ‘Golf Valley’ by locals and evidently with good reason. Blessed with not one but three top quality clubs—Los Naranjos, Las Brisas and Aloha—the whole residential area finds itself winding around verdant fairways, with the most sought-after properties overlooking these green oases. And what choice there is for property seekers – from apartment complexes offering perfect pieds-a-terre for weekend golfers to luxurious villas nestling in sub-tropical manicured grounds for families seeking permanent homes. The best of these not only boast wonderful views across fairways, but also to the Mediterranean Sea sparkling in the distance.

Convenience on the doorstep
This area really does have something to offer everyone. With two local supermarkets within its confines, there is no need to venture further afield—although should they not have that special something you seek, the La Cañada shopping centre is ten minutes away by car and almost certainly will. A plethora of bars and restaurants should satisfy the most demanding of diners, and ensure a lively nightlife is right on your doorstep.

Nueva Andalucía isn’t just great for shopping and entertainment, however. A wide range of services and amenities are available within a small radius, including well-regarded international schools, gyms and a famous local market that takes place every Saturday at the bullring in the heart of the area.
